Conceived as a plot for a sci-fi movie that doesn't exist. This record was influenced by the original Russian version of Solaris. I tried to convey the stark feeling of calm loneliness that I felt as I watched the movie in it, but have not kept the plot the same. It's a great movie. You should watch it.

This album was recorded entirely live and improvised in one afternoon. Some songs are cut off in the beginning, because my neighbor kept talking to me while I was trying to work and I would forget to hit the record button. I miss that neighbor. They were real sweet and used to watch our daughter when we needed her to.

The only instrument used is a guitar. the effect chain is composed like this:
Guitar-Digitech Whammy 4-Ibanez UE300-DL4 as a stereo delay-two Ernie Ball volume pedals in parallel for panning-roland RC50-Akai DPS16.

I recorded this direct and then played it back through the left and right main ins of a Roland JC120 and then left the room so it would be quite as it played back into the mics. (this is why i didn't ask my neighbor to leave while I was recording. Jake Trombetta has that Jazz Chorus now. Don't think I'll ever forget this Jake, as long as I live.
